Under the creative direction of Virgil Abloh, "haute streetwear" label Off-White presented their Binderclip bag. Abloh, recently appointed as Louis Vuitton's newest menswear artistic director, and his Milan-based label have been in the spotlight for quite some time.
It's no secret that high fashion and streetwear have been merging at a rapid pace in the last few years - and Off-White has been a leading brand in bringing the two together. Founded founded by Virgil Abloh in 2012, the brand has been increasingly successful ever since. Worn by countless celebrities including Kanye West, the Kardashians, A$AP Rocky, Rihanna, and Bella Hadid, Off-White grabbed the attention of luxury and streetwear lovers everywhere. The hype around Off-White elevated the brand into a category separate from other streetwear brands. Thus, the line between haute couture and street started to blur - and Off-White became high fashion.
When one thinks to purchase a luxury bag, Off-White isn't the first brand you would think of. But this is 2018. Fashion is constantly changing, as is the luxury demographic. The brand is not your typical luxury brand - it's a youthful, street-rooted, in-your-face, modern aesthetic that appeals to a completely different cliental that traditional luxury isn't entirely familiar with.
If you're a young woman with an edgy, fashion forward sense of style, than the Off-White Binderclip is just the bag for you. Exuding the ultimate "cool girl" vibe, this bag represents what Off-White is all about; effortless, contemporary style that is edgy and innovative.
Available in several different colours, the Binderclip commonly features a bright yellow shoulder strap that shares an uncanny resemblance to caution tape. It's a statement piece for the brand and is almost instantly recognizable, which isn't a surprise. Acclaimed for their pieces embellished with their infamous white stripe signature and "Off-White" logo, the brand isn't famous for being low-key. However, the Binderclip bag is also offered in a black on black palette palette that emanates a true "if you know, you know" aesthetic - a rarity for Off-White.
This bag tricks us with the illusion that this seemingly small bag can't fit very much inside...aû contraire. Hence the name, the Binderclip bag opens at the "paperclip" clasp revealing a binder-like interior featuring three separate compartments. Allowing one to carry everything they may need throughout the day, the Binderclip bag is ideal for every day usage. An easy compliment to any casual look, we recommend you wear this bag with distressed jeans, chunky sneakers or boots, and an oversized hoodie to achieve the ultimate "effortless-chic" look.
