Karl Lagerfeld created yet another stunning show for his 2018 Resort collection. He drew inspiration from a statue of Venus that Coco Chanel had in her apartment. From this, he created a collection inspired by Ancient Greece, with column heeled gladiator heels and dresses with lots of pale golds and pinks.
A greek sunset provided the backdrop to the set in Paris, and giant Ionic columns were raised within the venue, paired with bare sand coloured bricks which complimented his collection perfectly.
Bringing their fresh modern take on the classical nature of Ancient Greece, Chanel has once again accomplished a stunning collection, including the accessories. Bags were shown in some of their iconic shapes, including a sand toned classic flap, as well as a Gabrielle bag. However, there was a significant increase in the amount of clutch bags present for the resort collection. Here are some of the best bags to emerge at the show.
