H&M have announced that their next, highly anticipated designer collaboration is going to be with Erdem. A popular choice of designer amongst celebrities, Erdem are not as heavily followed as some of the previous collaborators such as Balmain and Versace. However, with their stunningly feminine designs, exquisite lace and intricate design, we are expecting that this will be one of the most wearable and beautiful collaborations yet. So it's no surprise that this collection is likely to cause the queues, chaos and excitement that have occurred for every designer collaboration the Swedish brand has done to date.
In 2015, the brand collaborated with Balmain, and had all of the famous faces of the moment to complete the campaign and fashion show. However, this year isn't expected to be as heavily celebrity endorsed. Instead, they are choosing to release a promotional film which will be directed by Baz Luhrmann. Luhrmann has famously directed fashion films for Chanel on two occasions. The first starring Nicole Kidman, and then in 2014 his film, 'The one that I want', featuring Gisele Bündchen for Chanel no. 5 was released, which was visually stunning.
The new collection will be released on the 2nd November, and based on previous years it is expected to be available from 9am. Website crashes created a lot of frustration among shoppers keen to get their hands on the Kenzo collection last year, so if you are hoping for a piece from the Erdem collection, it may be best to queue for a store.
The prices are expected to remain around the high-end high street prices that the designer collaborations from H&M have previously sold for, so you could potentially get your hands on a piece of the luxury British brand for as little as £30.
