The Hermès Birkin is among the most famous bags in the world. First created in 1983 after Jean-Louis Dumas met Jane Birkin on a flight from Paris to London. In the short flight, Birkin explained that she needed a bag which was spacious enough for everything she needed to carry, with plenty of pockets as well. He sketched the first bag there and then, and the rest is history. Thirty-four years later, this bag has been created in a huge variety of styles and materials. This version of the Birkin is crafted out of stunning, Hermès Vache Liegee leather, for a grainy, durable and sheen-like finish to the leather.
Released in 2004, Vache Liegee is a natural grained leather which is known to be stretched in 8 different directions and has an almost two-tone effect in the grain. This particular cut of leather also has a slight sheen and luster. Vache Liegee leather is quite often regarded the most durable of the Hermès leathers.
The vibrant red hue from Hermès, more specifically known as Rouge Garrance, makes this piece a truly outstanding accessory no matter what outfit you choose and the 30cm size is perfect for anyone looking for a compact, chic and on-trend luxury bag.
